Helps remove adhesives, polyurethane, and waterproofing agents

Best used for:

  • Thinning varnishes, oil-based paints, anti-rust coatings, and synthetic enamels.
  • Cleaning and degreasing tools, equipment, and surfaces.
  • Removing adhesives, polyurethane, and waterproofing agents.

To thin your paint, add SOLVABLE® Xylene gradually to paint, and mix until the desired viscosity is achieved.

To clean tools and equipment, wipe excess oil and clean off the tools with a paper towel or rag. Apply xylene to affected areas with a rag and wipe until all the oil is gone. Rinse the tools with water and immediately dry off with a clean cloth or rag.

To help remove adhesives (i.e. glue) from metal, dab SOLVABLE® Xylene to soften the glue. Timing depends on the type of glue and thickness. Scrape off the glue with a plastic scraper. Pick up the clumps of glue with a paper towel for disposal. Use a sponge with mild soap and warm water to wash off the metal surface. If any glue remains, reapply xylene. Rinse sponge and wipe down the metal. Use a cloth to dry the metal.
